Women and Words

WINNERS posted below, by each title!

What? You’re feeling worn out after all the hoopla on Day 1? Girlfriends, we are JUST GETTING STARTED. Get some coffee! Kick back! Welcome to DAY 2 of our festivities here at Women and Words! We’re so excited to do this and many, many thanks to all the authors and publisher (BSB, that would be you) who donated books to get in on the fun. You’ll notice that we’ve got authors published at a variety of houses (see the publisher next to the book), and also self-published participating in this event, which is wholly at the behest of the merry elves here at Women and Words. Many of the authors offered books from their own stashes to put up for drawings. We approached lots of different people, and as usual, everybody was stoked to get in on the game. So thanks, all, for helping…

The Awakening: Book One in the Sisters of Spirits Trilogy

Available January 15, 2013

Bold Strokes Books. The Awakening small 300 DPI

Sunny Skye, a psychic medium, is the head investigator and founder of Sisters of Spirits, a paranormal society dedicated to helping others understand what they can’t see. She is excellent at finding ghosts but finds it difficult to cope in the real world. When she meets Jordan, she is instantly attracted and completely unnerved by the personal demons she carries around with her.

Street tough Jordan Lawson molded herself into what she thinks an excellent cop should be. She trusts only two things: facts and herself. She believes only in the evil that mankind commits and she certainly doesn’t believe in ghosts, even when confronted by one.

When spiritualism and jaded skepticism collide, who backs down first?

5/5 Star Review for Sometime Yesterday :)

What an amazing way to start my day! Thank you so much 🙂

The  Bibliophilic Book Blog – reviews Sometime Yesterday.

“‘Sometime Yesterday’ kept me glued to the pages! I enjoyed the story with the paranormal elements and the romance between Natalie and Van. Natalie’s mother and best friend were also great supporting characters, along with Van’s father. There were, of course, stumbling blocks to their relationship – some of Van’s flings and the Dark Man. I was surprised when the mystery unraveled to an epic and heart-wrenching conclusion. Ms. Heidt has written a spellbinding novel of love, loss, tragedy, and triumph!”

5 Star Review of Sometime Yesterday

Sometime Yesterday by Yvonne Heidt
Successful artist, Natalie Chambers, buys a Victorian house after her divorce. She begins to have dreams of two women, Beth and Sarah and a Dark Man who terrorizes and controls them both. It becomes apparent that the house is haunted when strange noises and other events occur. When Natalie meets landscape gardener, Van Easton, there is an instant attraction between them But the Dark Man will stop at nothing to tear them apart. Will he succeed?
A well written haunting love story from both the past and the present. If you enjoy a good ghost story and romance, I highly recommend this book. Star rating 5/5

And The Crowd Goes Wild…

I can’t begin to describe how this picture made me feel. So I will let it speak for itself 🙂 How fortuitous that my last name falls between such two amazing authors? Love it.

A quick post :)…

A quick post 🙂

Early comments and reviews on my book Sometime Yesterday are coming in. I can’t tell you excited I am that people like it, they really like it… Sorry – Sally Field moment…. LOL

I have upcoming interview in The Happy Lesbian Housewife’s blog – details soon, I promise.

I am neck deep on edits for my next book – The Awakening – Book One of the  Sisters Of Spirits Trilogy

I love the S.O.S. team and I’m having a ball creating awesome characters that I love.  The hard part is having to kill my word babies.

To quote myself in the Bold Strokes Books Newsletter interview:  “Your editor doesn’t hate you – she will make you look good!”

It’s like childbirth – you don’t remember the pain until your laying in the hospital and asking yourself – why the hell did I DO this again?

I’ll be back for more – I have to get back to the editing 🙂
