2012: The Year of Change

What an incredible ride this year has been! I had not one, but TWO books published. I tied third place for debut author and received an honorable mention in the 2012 Rainbow Awards.

As I’m an (almost) ordinary housewife this is an incredible event. Radclyffe, talented authors, and editors – welcomed me into the fold at Bold Strokes Books. I am doing what I love and that is writing. Readers took the time to tell me what they thought of my writing and I recieved excellent advice from those who have been around the block, so to speak. Thank you! I can’t fully express how truly grateful I am to all of you who connected with me!

I made amazing new friends on Facebook and Twitter, from all over the world – I stayed connected with old friends and family. I moved to a different state and I celebrated 11 years with my partner in crime.

I laughed, cried, and some days, pulled the covers over my head – but there isn’t anything about this year I would change. I feel incredibly blessed.

I’m looking forward to 2013 – how about you?

On some days she writes like a fiend, but admits that other days, she's just as content to wrap up in a blanket and cuddle with her dogs while watching "one more episode." on Netflix. In between those, she's managed to be a three-time Golden Crown Literary Award winner for Best Paranormal, Lambda Literary Award Finalist, and both a Rainbow Award winner and finalist.
