“Yvonne Heidt’s debut paranormal novel already was a gifted work, but the first tome of the Sisters of the Spirits (SOS) tops even that. Yvonne creates with Awakening a parallel paranormal universe which is utterly credible and well crafted. Reading the book I had on every page the impression of “substance”, i.e. well developed characters, great secondary characters, great story, great story development, good dialogue, excellent pen-woman-ship, some well-done romance. I loved the interaction between the normal and paranormal realm. And important to me: not scary and no horror. Very well done.
I esp. liked that the ending is not a total cliff-hanger, but though a trilogy this book can be read and appreciated by itself.
Kudos to the author and to the editor for a shipshape book.”
